ZEVARAS PRIVATE LIMITED (“ZEVARAS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Unokidz platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use Unokidz as a school, teacher, parent, or student.

We take the privacy of school communities — and especially of children — seriously. We do not sell personal data. We do not serve advertisements. Student data is used only to deliver and improve the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: Name, phone number, email address, and role (teacher, parent, student, school owner/admin) provided at registration.

School data: Classrooms, attendance records, activity submissions, notifications, and other content created or uploaded by school staff and parents through the platform.

Usage data: Log files, device type, browser type, IP address, and interaction patterns — used to operate, monitor, and improve the Service.

AI inputs: Messages or queries submitted to AI features (Tutor Buddy, Insights) are processed to generate responses and are not used to train third-party AI models without your school’s explicit consent.

3. How We Use Information

To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
To authenticate users and manage access controls.
To generate AI-powered insights, tutor responses, and weekly digests.
To send service-related communications (account notifications, support responses).
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
To analyse aggregate usage patterns and improve the platform.

We do not use student data for advertising, profiling unrelated to education, or any purpose not directly related to providing the Service.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share data with:

Service providers: Cloud hosting, database, and communication vendors who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
AI providers: AI model providers used to power Tutor Buddy and Insights features. Data shared is minimised and governed by provider-specific terms.
Legal requirements: When required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.

Schools may request a list of current sub-processors at any time by contacting us.

5. Student and Child Privacy

Unokidz is used in school environments that include minors. We comply with applicable laws regarding the privacy of children. Student accounts are created by their school and are linked to a parent or guardian account. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children without school or parental authorisation.

Schools act as the data controller for their students’ data. ZEVARAS acts as a data processor on behalf of the school.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a data breach affecting your school, we will notify affected parties in accordance with applicable laws.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and school data for the duration of the school’s subscription and for 30 days after termination, during which the school may request an export. After this period, data is deleted or anonymised.

Log and usage data may be retained for up to 12 months for security and operational purposes.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use session cookies to maintain authenticated user sessions. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. Analytics, if any, are limited to aggregate, anonymised usage data processed internally.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to restrict or object to its processing. To exercise these rights, school administrators should contact us directly. Individual users may request access through their school administrator.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify school administrators of material changes by email or in-app notification. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
